Editorial Reviews

2009 U.S. release. The Script is made up of three Irish lads from Dublin who are now currently based out of London, England. The trio's music boasts the kind of artful twists sure to turn all preconceptions on their head. This is a whole new brand of Celtic Soul, blending Hip Hop lyrical flow with Pop melodiousness, state-of-the-art R&B production with anthemic Rock dynamics, classic song construction with gritty contemporary narratives. It's got all the emotion and passion you would expect from across the Irish sea, but it is glittering in its modernity, universal in its singalong addictiveness and global in its syncopation, music for the feet, heart and head. This 11 track album showcases the band's fine talent with a batch of beautifully written songs. Epic.

Young Irish Band Shines

I remember when I was watching VH1 and I had seen the video for the awesome and beautifully sentimental song, "Breakeven". It was so catchy and such a really good song! After I had heard this song for the first time, I was hooked! I wanted to learn more about this band that I have never encountered before until then! I went to the nearest F. Y. E. and I listened to the entire album and I loved the collection of smart, cool, and entirely melodic songs featured on their self-titled disc. The brilliant album has an opening track, "We Cry", that is light hip-hop with a nice groove and plenty of solid drumming to get your feet tapping and head nodding along easily...Another song that is great is the hit song, "The Man Who Can't Be Moved". We cannot forget the song, "Breakeven", as well. One is definitely rewarded with such a refreshingly unique sound from The Script and several people think that these guys are reminiscent of Maroon 5, and honestly, not much. The Script is more nuanced, colorful and expressive with lyrics that make you ponder and feel things on a deep and personal level. Just listen to "Breakeven" and you may understand what I was trying to convey. After listening to this superb album which is surprisingly devoid of any disappointing songs, one has to add this one to the music collection and enjoy it at any time of the day.

This CD is great, in perfect condition and exactly what I wanted. They took a very long time to get to me though, I believe it is purely the fault of the postal service.
Thanks very much.

Heart-felt and Powerful

The songs on The Script's self titled CD are moving. They tell stories about love and loss. As a person who is going through a breakup, I find many of the songs relavent. They are touching, moving, and tear-jerkers. "Breakeven" speaks to anyone who has had their heart broken while "Before the Worst" just makes you want to go back to happier times in a relationship.

For everyone, this is an amazing CD but for anyone going through a tough time with love, listen to the songs and be open to what may come.

This was my first Script CD which I bought for the tunes that got radio play and I was happy to find I like most of the CD. No indepth analysis here. Its always a matter of personal preference anyways. Nuff said.
